Diary Entry - September 17th, 2001
Here's my introductory message for the horoscope mailing for the week beginning on September 17th, 2001.
Dear Reader!
I hope you were able to cope with last week's horrific events. I'm still trying to come to terms with it. I've received more than 4,000 messages from members of my mailing lists and visitors to my web sites. I'm still busy reading all the messages... I've still got 1,100 messages to go...

Many people wrote in last week to tell me how they experienced the tragic events and what they feel in their hearts and souls. It is a very sad situation for humanity and peace-loving people around the world.
The last news that I heard was that more than 35 nations have suffered a loss of human life due to the attacks. The whole world stands united against any case of terrorism and violence. Let's never forget September 11th, 2001. It was a wake-up call for people everywhere that we need to work every day for a peaceful world.

A lot of message circulate on the Internet about the predictions made by Nostradamus. I'm not so familiar with his predictions but I think some of the messages on the Net are wrong translations of the Nostradamus quote. It's very hard to understand why attacks like the ones on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon (or any other place for that matter) happen. It's even more difficult to explain to a child why it happened. I've found a very good article on the web which gives parents some starting points for a discussion. By now, you've probably already seen lots of phone numbers and web addresses where to donate money for the victims and rescue workers. I also suggest that you give to your local charity for needy people in your vicinity. However here are some links for organizations which support the victims of September 11th, 2001:

Susan Miller is one of my favorite astrologers and I always meet with her for dinner when I'm in New York. I was pretty worried about her and her family. I'm still deeply saddened by last week's events and any loss of human life through acts of terrorism and violence. I'm a very international person and like meeting people of all kind of faiths, cultures and nationalities. As some of the scopers on this list already know, my Father is from Holland, my Mom is Belgian, I was born in Germany and Tops (our dog) is from Italy.
During the time I was an exchange student in Australia, I've met many friends from around the world. This helped me even more to become open-minded. Always remember the saying: "Minds are like parachutes -- they only work when open"
