Regardless of your position within the family OR theirs... you must be tactful and 'make it through the day' especially if these are in-laws, extended family or ex's you have to DEAL with 'like it or not' over the coming days or two weeks. Much appears mended by the 16th. You HATE process emotional crap and can live quite well without it. The indications are that emotions ARE a bit 'raw' and prone to surface easily from various members the 17th to 20th but if you are careful, you can handle THEM with the same tact and then vanish or step away.
